    Pastor Leo Barbee Jr. & First Lady Helen Barbee are two great pioneers in Kansas that are highly respected around the world. Along with being the Pastor of Victory Bible Church in Lawrence, he's also the President of the Lawrence Association of Evangelicals, Co-Founder of Greater Lawrence Christian Men's Association, Chaplain of the KU Jayhawks men's basketball team just to name a few. Helen Barbee was named Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Month for the Kansas City Kansas School District. She was Timothy John's middle school English teacher who is one of the greatest contributors to molding Timothy John into the man he is today. She is a strong woman of Christ determined to supporting the youth and uplifting the preception and standards of women.

Directing: The Colored Museum, The Island (Ebony Theatre). Awards: Two-time AFA Prose Interpretation Champion, two-time Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award Winner, Mark Twain Comedy Playwriting Award, ACTF Region V Best Acting Partner, President of Ebony Theatre, Recipient of the Kennedy Center's Gold Medallion. Television: Wrote for NBC's ?Southland.? Now writes for FX;s "Lights Out." Education: BS, Kansas State University; The Juilliard School.

You may remember him from the movie Boomerang starring Eddie Murphy and Robin Givens or you may know him from his 24 years as Political and Business Reporter at The New York Times. He is a University of Missouri-Columbia graduate and renowned Nupe of Kappa Alpha Psi.

    Lewis Diuguid

    Lewis Diuguid is an editorial board member and columnist at The Kansas City Star. He's been with the newspaper since May 1977 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia also. He is the author of the 2004 book A Teacher’s Cry: Expose the Truth About Education Today and the 2007 book, Discovering the Real America: Toward a More Perfect Union.

While paying her dues on the theatre scene, she became well respected as an actor and songstress.     Joyce Todd is a native of Kansas City Kansas. She is eternally grateful for having been born and raised into a family of strong Christian parents.

     

    Joyce received her BS from Emporia State Teachers College, MS from Kansas State University, and Administration Certification from University Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Joyce founded and directed JT Productions, Inc. a nonprofit organization from 1978-2004. This theatrical troupe was for the purpose of bringing men and womenof various backgrounds and talents together in spreading the gospel through drama and music. In 1988, she formed JT Youth to serve as an alternative to negative influence of peer pressure, drugs, and gangs facing youth of her community. JT Youth reached hundreds of youth with a gospel mass choir, plays play writing, dance, camps, out of town performances and social activities. She's received numerous awards for outstanding community services in the Fine Arts. Joyce, a woman of integrity, character, and talent, is thankful to God for her gift and passion of writing and producing Christian plays. She's excited about her new endeavors in Texas.

    Thomas Clayton (born April 26, 1984 in Alexandria, Virginia) is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He was drafted by the 49ers in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kansas State. After high school, Mount Vernon Majors, Clayton participated in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2002 after having a breakout year and leading his team to the State Finals. Clayton attended Kansas State University after transferring from Florida State University.
